My Approach
My first wedding (eeek)
I photographed my first wedding in 2011. I remember being sooooo nervous BUT I absolutely loved it!! The day absolutely flew by and I didn’t want it to end. I knew as I was driving home that this is what I wanted to do. Over the last 13 years I have photographed almost 200 weddings and I’ve loved them all. I have a wealth of experience and my focus lies in meticulous planning and preparation. Before your big day I’ll meet with you and your partner to learn what you have planned for the day. We discuss any surprises, unusual elements, or specific shots you’d like captured. I want to know who your bridesmaids and groomsmen are, if you’d like to have a reveal shot or a confetti shot. I want to know everything so you can relax on the day knowing that I know it all!
Candid, Relaxed Wedding Photography
and not a 1980s awkward pose in sight!
Most couples ask me to photograph the whole day. I always arrive to photograph morning preparations three hours before the ceremony so I can capture all of the little details before the I do’s. I leave after the first dance or a little bit later if everyone is having fun on the dance floor.
I’ll take lots of candid photographs of you and your guests as well as some nice family and bridal party shots. And of course I’ll take some gorgeous couples portraits too.
I have a really relaxed approach on the day. I’m not bossy or loud (although I do use my voice when coordinating the group shot and confetti shots. It can be like herding cats at this point. I blend in with your guests. No traditional awkward posing out of the eighties. Just lovely natural shots of you both and all of your guests having the best time ever. On your wedding day you’ll be cloud nine all day and I’ll be there to capture it all for you. I can’t wait!
