This wedding had it all: love, live music and one-liners to last a lifetime.

I met Rachel and Adam as guests at a wedding I photographed in Cheshire. A year later, I was delighted to be invited to capture their special day. The couple chose the gorgeous, Grade II-listed Cranage Estate in Holmes Chapel for their wedding. This striking property, with its red brick and yellow sandstone walls and expansive green lawns, is ideal for capturing vibrant wedding photos.

A perfect day from beginning to end …..

The excitement was palpable when I stepped into the hotel room where the bride, her mother and her bridesmaids were getting ready. They were beaming with joy, and Rachel looked absolutely radiant. There was a heart-warming moment when the bride gave her bridesmaids special gifts. It was touching to see them share this precious moment before the momentum of the day took over.

As soon as I met Adam, I knew that the day would be full of fun. He is a very funny man who had everyone in stitches. It was great to see him having a good time with his groomsmen, and his humour added to the joyous mood of the occasion.

Rachel and Adam tied the knot under a pretty garden pagoda in a picture-perfect wedding ceremony. The weather was just right, which is always a relief when it comes to outdoor weddings. The bride was given away by her incredibly proud mother. Adam sings in a band, and his bandmates performed as Rachel walked down the aisle.

The speeches after the wedding breakfast were very emotional. Rachel’s mum and Adam’s nana delivered speeches that were so beautifully written, they brought tears to everyone’s eyes, including mine! With love most definitely in the air, the party moved outside to enjoy drinks in the late afternoon sunshine and bask in the warmth of the moment.

I had a great time photographing the newlyweds and their bridal party. The wedding party continued long into the night. As Adam continued to crack jokes, laughter filled the air! When everyone is relaxed and having a good time, the photos always turn out great. Adam’s band provided the music for the happy couple and their guests to dance the night away. He even managed to steal the show by performing a few songs himself. This was a truly memorable wedding that hit all the right notes.
